Course 1
Over this workshop, Torsten will demonstrate his alla prima painting technique and break down his approach on how to free your mindset from expectations, to find your authentic voice.
Together with Torsten we will discuss how to achieve the right balance between portraiture and contemporary painting, where boundaries lie and where they cross over.
Torsten will help you to free up your painting arm and release the expressive artist inside.
From laying down tones and colour across the canvas, to seeing and understanding the values; the principles of hard soft and lost edges; and his unique way to use imaginative shapes. Torsten will guide you through the process of establishing a solid understanding of composition, allowing you to approach your painting with more freedom and confidence for a fresh loose result.
