-Thorgrimur is an exciting Icelandic artist, born in Reykjavik in 1980. His teens were spent composing and performing music , then studying at the Royal Conservatory in den Haag, Holland. It was here that aside from music, he discovered his love and talent for oil painting.

Whenever possible he works from direct observation, working in the Alla Prima style. Thorgrimur describes his style as one of painterly realism. Maintaining an emphasis on accurate drawing, value and colour, he aspires to capture his subject as honestly as possible whilst articulating its emotional impact.

A landscape painting of a sky with dark storm clouds, a setting sun with pinkish hues, and a field with two birds flying in the distance.
